The Heartbeat of
New Heart of Texas Ministries is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We became incorporated and began serving as a ministry in March 2013. The name New Heart of Texas Ministries was inspired by Ezekiel 36:26 which reads:
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” –Ezekiel 36:26
Our Mission
To provide Christ-centered hope and healing for men and women impacted by traumatic experiences. Hearts wounded by abortion, sexual, physical, emotional, and spiritual abuse and service-related post-traumatic stress are transformed through a retreat-based ministry.
Mary Lee Mason, president and founder of New Heart of Texas Ministries, felt called to start her own ministry in 2011. Mary Lee attended her own Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat in 2006.
After her retreat, Mary Lee felt called to help other women and men to heal from the emotional trauma they had suffered as a result of their abortions. She began leading Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats in central Texas in the fall of 2006 and later brought them to the Houston area. She has led over 65 retreats.
“Rachel’s Vineyard gave me the hope, healing and restoration that I had been seeking for 26 years since my abortion at the age of 18. For the first time I experienced the peace of God’s forgiveness and the freedom of forgiving myself. I felt that my heart had been transformed from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh.” –Mary Lee Mason, 2006
