Wayne Mason

Wayne Mason joined the NHT Board of Directors in 2019 after serving as an advisor to the board since NHT’s inception in 2013.  Wayne retired from the U.S. Army in 2007 after 21 years of service and deployments to Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, organizational development, and developing leaders using the servant leadership model.

As a combat veteran, Wayne serves as our lead facilitator for the Duty to Heal program and is instrumental in caring for New Heart’s retreat property.

Wayne has been married to his lovely wife Mary Lee Mason for 36 years and they have two wonderful married children and one grandson.  He enjoys studying history, woodworking, antique cars, and getting out to the woods to hunt at any opportunity.
